Lull before the camp season!

Pray that we will wisely utilize these last two weeks of May to continue to diligently seek our Lord's face as to what is on His heart for the camp season that will kick off for us June 3rd. As noted in our latest Faces & Facts we are scheduled to be involved in 12 camps in the nine weeks between June 3 and August 3.

Heroes

I was privileged in recent weeks to have my path cross two gentlemen who I believe God views as heroes - and I'm not talking about characters on the network TV show. I'm talking about men of high character who week by week work at jobs to help make a living as they pastor the churches where our Lord has planted them. Thom in Lincoln, NE and Leo way out in western Nebraska in Wauneta. These men are truly servent leader heroes. Check out their pictures in the Gallery.

'Goober' helps motivate kids to read 2007 books!

The students at Alcott Elementary School in Hastings, NE were challenged to read 2007 books in the spring semester of 2007. They were promised that if and when they had accomplished that feat that Goober (yes the prop character from the tool box who has been making appearances at Alcott for years as the principal's look alike cousin:-) would show up to deliver one of his "Momma's" pies to Mr. Groneameyer (the principal). I'm pleased to report that the 2007 books have been read and that Goober delivered the pie on Friday March 9. It is reported that the pie tasted as good as it looked on the principal's face:-)

Seeking out members for CareActor's 'Supporting Cast'

The Lord continues to open doors for us to share in settings which are able to give a 'widow's mite' as a love offering or honorarium. These are the very places God has given us a heart to go and the places where stories seem to have such a powerful impact. For such ministry to take place, we are in need of those the Lord leads to join with others in CareActor’s SUPPORTING CAST (those who have given one time or occasionally or giving regularly). Remember, as a part of the SUPPORTING CAST, you have a part in the results our Lord brings in the lives impacted by the ministry.
