Who We Are
The Cast of CareActor Inc.

CareActor is Dale Phillips. Dale was born and raised in Clinton, MO. It was there as a boy of nine that he began his journey of faith when at his Dad's side he prayed to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior.


After graduating from Clinton Senior High, Dale went off to Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, MO where he graduated with a BA in speech.


The summer after graduating from Southwest Dale traveled with a drama team from the school presenting Christian drama through out the state of Missouri.


Dale went on to seminary and graduated with a Masters of Religious Education from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.


Dale served on staff in churches in Kansas, Oklahoma and Nebraska before going to Keystone Baptist Church in Hastings, NE where he served as pastor from the first part of August 1979 till the last day of August of 2002.


Dale's girlfriend and wife Beth was raised most of her life in Topeka, KS and graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK.  Dale recognizes Beth has a precious gift from the Lord! Beth serves on the Board of CareActor Inc. and is without a doubt a vital part of this venture. In the summer of '06 Beth stepped away of the ministry she had been involved with for over 20 years - Re-New Christian Resource Center in Hastings - to be more involved in this ministry venture. In the fall of '06 Beth became CareActor's Administrative Director. A part time position with a major impact on it's ministry!


Dale and Beth are proud parents of two young adult children. Aprille, a graduate of Hastings College, is a teacher who loves to be a student. She taught in the Dominican Republic before returning to the states to teach at Bryan High School in Omaha (2008-'09). This school year (2009-'10) she is in on the 'ground floor' of a one of a kind program under the umbrella of 'Bright Future's Foundation' working with students at Ralston High School as she continues to work on her masters at UNL. And Daniel, a graduate of the University of Nebraska in Omaha, now lives in the Omaha where he works with the Ark. In June '05 Daniel married a special young lady - Alycia Lacy who has her Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Oklahoma and is a pharmacist with Walgreens.

6 Blind Men and the elephant

Huh?! The fable tells of 6 blind men who came upon an elephant and when later asked to describe the elephant each gave quite a different description. . .the elephant is like a wall, a snake, a tree trunk. . .depending on where they encountered the elephant.
If asked what is CareActor Inc. some will say it is an artist in residence, some will describe a pulpit supply service, others a ministry that does revivals services, some a camp speaking ministry, others still a workshop presenter and on it could go.
Then what is CareActor? Actually it is all the above and more but how a person sees it might well have to do where they encounter this 'elephant'.

Dale's realization - 'I am an evangelist'

"An elder at Keystone once told me he thought I should be an evangelist. But my thinking was so impacted by what I'd traditionally seen an evangelist to be, I just didn't see it. But along the way I have come to see that by definition an evangelist is a good news teller. And that's who I am a good news teller sharing good news by sharing stories brought to life with the help of my friends from the tool box. I admit it I am an evangelist - Tom you were right.

Can't take the 'pastor' out of the CareActor

A major part of Dale's gifting package continues to be that of being an encourager, a shepherd (pastor) hearted man. For a number of years that was manifested in and through his role as the pastor of Keystone. We now believe Dale is once again to join God in His work through him in this gifting area by adding the dimension of CareActor to CareActor.
